I came across a post on one of my native car forums a few weeks ago, and had been surprised to learn that Japanese automaker Mitsubishi would be discontinuing the "Evolution" model of their famous Lancer. It was stated on the news site that the reason for Mitsubishi's cancellation of the Evolution was due to their recent idea to follow more of a "green" perspective for their future vehicles.
As a fellow car enthusiast, I am quite disappointed by this news - who will this leave for Subaru's STi to compete with in terms of the better vehicle? I for one am not very impressed by Mitsubishi's recent change of appearance - even though I was never a huge fan of the Evolution, I always liked to hear about the competition between the two rally competitors, and hearing constant arguing between my opinionated automobile enthusiasts of friends was always something to have a good laugh about.
What I am interested in is opinion. I want to know your thoughts about Mitsubishi's decision, and what might become of the Subaru WRX STi now that it will be running solo in the competition to produce the best rally vehicle. Let me know what you think!
